Georgia Blues Brothers - About
"Jumpin Jake" (Chris Cole) and Elwood (Shawn Holcomb) formed the Georiga Blues Brothers in 2007, when they won the
Coosa Valley Idol contest at the Fair in Rome, Ga.
"Jumpin' Jake" (Chris Cole) mentioned to Elwood (Shawn Holcomb) that he would like to enter the annual talent show at the Coosa Valley Fair as a Blues Brothers act. Elwood said "Hey man, I'd love to do it!" And after several practices of singing "Soul Man" and working on some dance moves, they took first place in the talent show. The very next day they performed at the Great Locomotive Chase Celebration in Adairsville, GA.
A couple months later, they acquired a 1974 Dodge Monaco to fill the role of the Georgia Blues Brothers official Bluesmobile. After many more performances to a soundtrack, the brothers met some great musicians who have played together for years, and that seemed to be the final piece of the puzzle to put this great tribute act together! Now with this all star group of musicians including harmonica, keyboards, and horns, they have that big sound that is expected of a great Blues Brothers Tribute Band!
The show includes a mix of music, dancing, singing, comedy and special effects. It is all energy from start to finish.
Singing the songs you love from the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's, the crowd will be dancing and singing along all night!
"Jake" and "Elwood" always gets the crowd involved. They promise an energetic, fun filled show that will please audiences
of all ages. Bring your cameras! They guarantee a good time!
